What most brides worry about: the venue, the dress, the food, the music.
What Late Discovery Adoptee Brides worry about: placement at the "family table.''
So I've got my Mom who neglected, for her own reasons, to tell me that i was adopted, allegedly coming to my wedding and informing me that no one else from our family will fly out from Maryland. She may even drive, being that she loathes air travel. Still, I'd suspect Sprinsteen to play the event before Mom drove across the country. Point is, my birth family comprises the majority of my guest list. I'm already stressing about what Mom will think when i address the 80-year-old gent as "Grandpa'' and throw my arms around my sisters. Mom knows these people exist but has never seen them. Never heard them. Never asks about them. Eh, at least I won't care if my dress gets stained.
